NASA Will Use LED Display to Replace Analog Clock to in Kennedy Space Center

At NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, there is a huge analog clock for countdown of rocket launching. This analog clock witnessed countless historic space missions. Now, NASA decided to replace the analog clock with digital full color LED screen before launching the Orion space capsule. This new LED screen can display both the countdown and broadcast exciting images.

The LED display is about 7 feet high, and with resolution of 1280X360 pixels, cost around US$ 280,000. The lower right corner of the LED screen will be used to show the launching countdown; also full-screen can broadcast programs. Of course, the analog clock which inherited from the Apollo era serviced for 10 years, it will be properly preserved in the Kennedy Space Center. In the upcoming Orion flight, we will be able to see the LED screen in the launch.
